The CE-certification is a marking according to EU law intended for certain products in conjunction with product safety. Wherever you see the CE-marking, the producer certifies that the product conforms to European guidelines. After February 2010 this labelling is mandatory in all of Europe. After this date it is no longer possible to market windows that are not CE-certified; it is a basic requirement for receiving Austrian subsidies.

Because of the limited area that is habitable in the mountainous Tyrol, housing costs are very high. For that reason, subsidies for housing should be readily available to every Tyrolean. Since 2008, the energy passport for newly constructed housing is mandatory. Since 2009, the creation of an energy passport is mandatory for renovations that exceed areas of 10,764 square feet (1000 m²)! 

For the renovation of existing buildings, the state of Tyrol provides subsidies. Current information can be obtained at the Tyrolean government “Amt der Tiroler Landesregierung”, as well as at the housing subsidy office in the different districts (“Bezirkshauptmannschaft”).

Please check the availability of federal Austrian subsidies. Information can be obtained at certain banks (“Bausparkassen”).

Of course all structural measures need to comply with the thermal standards.
